Start Time: 11:00AM on Saturday April 13, 2024.

End Time: 9:00PM on Saturday April 13, 2024.

Please make sure you are completely available between 11:00AM and 9:00PM on Saturday, April 13th. We will not be able to ensure your team will have a certain start time to accommodate your individual needs.

The bar will remain open until Midnight. Stick around afterwards for beer, pizza and an all-around good time.

Yes, this tournament used to be played in the middle of the night. Hence the name, “All-Nighter.” While we are now able to play during the day, the name remains the same!

WHERE IS THE SRH ALL-NIGHTER XIII TOURNAMENT?

The SRH All-Nighter XIII Tournament will be played at Midwest Sport Hockey in Queeny Park.

Click here for directions. The address is 570 Weidman Road, Ballwin, MO 63011.

WHO IS ALLOWED TO PLAY AND HOW MANY PLAYERS WILL BE TAKEN?

All skaters may begin registering immediately.

Goalies already on the SRH Call List may begin registering immediately. If you don’t know what the SRH Call List is, go to https://www.sundayrollerhockey.com/page3 to see for yourself.

Goalies not already on the SRH Call List may begin registering on December 1, 2023.

There will be 6 teams of 8 skaters and 1 goaltender each.

All players must fill out the skill check questionnaire right before/after they pay. This will allow the captains to draft you in the appropriate spot and build 6 fairly evenly matched teams. EVEN IF YOU’VE PAID, YOUR SPOT IS NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL YOU HAVE FILLED OUT YOUR SKILL CHECK QUESTIONNAIRE. Your spot is only reserved after you have paid and filled out your questionnaire. No exceptions.

HOW WILL THE TEAMS BE DETERMINED?

You may not register an entire team in this tournament.

You may only register individually and be drafted onto a team.

There will be 48 skaters and 6 goaltenders in the tournament. 6 players will be appointed by Jason Miller as a captain.

The remaining 48 players will then be chosen in a fantasy auction style draft to fill the 6 rosters.

The exact date and location of the draft is yet to be determined

Anyone who decides to show up would be more than welcome.

The auction draft will be live posted on Facebook (follow the thread on this Facebook event page). Please email me at jasonmillersrh@gmail.com if you need to be invited to the Facebook event page.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to guarantee that you will be able to play on a team with any certain friend you may have playing in the tournament.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REGISTER?

Every player (including goaltenders) must pay $60 to play in the tournament. Read further for payment instructions.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

You must be paid in full and have filled out your skill check questionnaire for your spot to be reserved. I will not hold your spot simply because you intend to pay or fill out your questionnaire at a later date. There can be no exceptions to this rule.

At the bottom of this page, you be able to fill out your skill check questionnaire and pay your $60 ($62.68 with the fees I will incur) via major credit card or by using your PayPal account. Spots will be filled purely on the basis of the order in which I receive payments and skill check questionnaires. Be aware that because it takes time for me to update the player list each day due to work and family commitments, spots may fill before I add you to the tournament roster. If the tournament fills before I receive your payment, I will add you to the waiting list. If the tournament happens and you do not play, your payment will be refunded in full within 3 days after the conclusion of the tournament.

You may also pay me with cash or by sending a check for $60 to Jason Miller, 16700 Westglen Farms Drive, Wildwood, MO 63011. If you pay by check, be aware that because it will take time for your check to arrive, spots may fill before I receive your payment. You will not have a spot reserved for you simply because your check is in the mail. I must have it in my hands to count. If the tournament fills before I receive your payment, I will add you to the waiting list. If the tournament happens and you do not play, your refund check will be placed in the mail within 3 days after the conclusion of the tournament (assuming you have given me an address to which I can mail your refund check). Again, your spot is not secure until I have both your payment and your completed skill check questionnaire.

WHAT IF I SIGN UP AND REALIZE LATER THAT I CAN'T PLAY?

If you register and realize later that you are unable to play, just e-mail me at jasonmillersrh@gmail.com and let me know that you'd like to cancel. You will be refunded immediately via the same method in which you paid. If you paid by check, please let me know the address at which you'd like to receive your refund check.

Please be aware! No cancelations will be allowed after April 4th, 2024 for any reason at all! Canceling after this time or simply not showing up to the tournament will result in a complete forfeiture of your $60 entry fee! Missing all or a portion of the tournament is not a reason for a full or partial refund. Again, after April 4th, 2024 there will be no refunds of any kind (except for those people who were on the waiting list at the time of the tournament)!

The following reasons will not be considered acceptable reasons for canceling/being refunded after April 4th, 2024. I’m sorry, but it just has to be this way. If this rule were not in place, I’d have people canceling left and right and it would be pure chaos.

-Any sickness, unless it’s a positive COVID-19 test. Please show me proof of your positive test. TO BE CLEAR, IF YOU THINK YOU COULD HAVE COVID-19, PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP. I WILL WORK WITH YOU WHEN IT COMES TO COVID-19 REASONS.

-Any injury.

-Death in the family.

-Sickness in the family, unless it’s due to your getting/being exposed to COVID-19.

-Having to work.

-Having another hockey game or sports commitment at the same time

-Having tickets to a Blues game, Cardinals game, STL City game, or other spectator sports event

-Having to go out of town, even due work

-Your wife doesn’t want you to play

-You’re really tired

-Any other reason you could possibly think of outside of a true COVID-19 emergency.

-In other words, if you’re going to cancel, don’t wait until April 5th, 2024. Once we reach that date, you’re out of luck and your money is gone.

Midwest Sport Hockey Rules

These following rule is not negotiable. I’d like to keep having this tournament every year and this is the only way that can happen. Failure to comply can result in your ejection from the tournament without refund and could keep us from having this tournament again in the future.

NO ALCOHOL/DRUGS OF ANY KIND MAY BE BROUGHT ONTO THE PREMISES! THE BAR WILL BE OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT. MIDWEST SPORT HOCKEY IS GIVING US A DEAL ON THE RINK TIME, SO THE LEAST WE COULD DO IS BUY OUR DRINKS FROM THEM. PLEASE JUST LEAVE THE ALCOHOL AT HOME.

Game Rules

-Each game will consist of two 15 minute (running clock) periods.

-The clock will only stop during the last minute of games which are either tied or within 1 goal.

-The referees will be given latitude to determine if the clock should stop for any other reason (puck out of play, injuries, etc.).

-Time outs are not allowed in round robin games.

-One 30 second time out is allowed per team per playoff game.

-The whistle will be blown and play will be stopped if the puck touches the high netting above the glass at either end of the rink.

-For the sake of clarity, the whistle will be blown and play will be stopped if the puck touches anything above the boards or glass.

-Regular house league penalties will be called during the tournament. Players will serve the appropriate amount of time in the penalty box as determined by the officials.

-Fighting will not be tolerated. The referees will have the power to eject any player from a game for any reason (not just fighting). If this happens, you are done for the night and you will not receive any type of refund.

-Round robin games ending in a tie will remain a tie.

-Playoff games ending in a tie will immediately go to a 3 man NHL style shootout to determine a winner.

-Each shooter should immediately go to the scorer’s table after their shootout attempt and tell the scorekeeper their name.

Prizes and Awards

At the conclusion of the tournament, one random player will have their name drawn out of a hat and win a $100 cash prize. The player’s team need not win a single game for this to happen.

In order to win the $100 cash prize, you must be in attendance (even if your team is eliminated before the championship game) and close enough to me to hear your name called out. If you are not present, I will immediately draw another name.

Odds of winning the $100 prize

Every player will have their name in the hat and be eligible to win the $100 prize. Your odds of winning the prize are not affected by the performance of your team or any other team.

During the next day or two after the tournament, all players should text or e-mail me (jasonmillersrh@gmail.com) their choices for tournament MVP and Most Outstanding Goaltender.

All players will be informed of the results of the voting as soon as possible.
